David’s Sword

Trapped by someone he trusts, David’s world changes forever. Frightened, he doesn’t know how to escape. Confused by the way his friend is acting, and not knowing what to do, he plays their “game” in silence day after day. When he and his family are threatened, David finds himself stuck in a dangerous and scary situation, and then one day he realizes how his sword can help.

Part metaphor, part self-help, the Elliott’s short work offers a fictional recounting of David’s real life story and engages and empowers children to tell. David has chosen to be a voice to other children by imparting strength and courage through this story. Perfect as a teaching tool for children and adults alike, David’s Sword will ensnare the strings of the heart while capturing young minds.

If you work with children, you will want a copy of David’s Sword available when needed.
