Who is Plan to Protect® for?
Plan to Protect® is a Canadian-based organization that helps churches, charities, schools, and other groups prevent abuse and protect vulnerable people globally—especially children, youth, and vulnerable adults. Plan to Protect® supports organizations that serve children, youth, and vulnerable adults provide a strong framework to create safe environments and reduce the risk of abuse.
Do we need a membership?
Not always. Some training and resources can be purchased separately, and some organizations choose to take a more self directed approach, choosing to purchase a Plan to Protect® manual or a basic membership. For organizations looking for closer support, our Implementation and Going the Distance memberships provide guided help in implementing the Plan to Protect® standard. Once that work is in place, Basic Membership helps organizations maintain and strengthen their policies over time with ongoing updates, templates, and member-only resources.
Can you help us write our policies?
Yes. We offer guided support and proven frameworks to help organizations develop policies that reflect current safeguarding expectations and fit their unique context. This support is available through our Implementation and Going the Distance memberships, or as a standalone consulting engagement.
